Ryzen CPU were launched on February 2017 marketed and designed by AMD. They are based on Zen architecture. It is completely designed for mainstream and enthusiasts. All Ryzen processor use AM4 socket. Thus series was launched after brief failure of earlier Bulldozer series of AMD.
Since its launch the AMD processor has gone leaps and bounds to achieve further market share.

Naming Convention of AMD CPU
Ryzen CPU have the following naming convention:-
RYZEN 3/5/7/9 ABCD SUFFIX
Ryzen 3, 5, 7 are equivalent for Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9 of the CPU.
A denoting generation series – 1 for Zen, 2 for Zen+, 3 for Zen 2, 5 for Zen 3.
B denoting as <4 = Ryzen 3; 5,6 = Ryzen 5; 7,8 = Ryzen 7; >9 = Ryzen 9. Higher SKU will have higher number within same series. B is generally denoted separately too if the CPU is AMD Ryzen 3 or 5 or 7. So, Ryzen 3600 > Ryzen 3500 but both are Ryzen 5, 3rd generation CPU.
CD denoting the SKU differentiator or speed bump if any.
The Suffix denotes as X=High Performance, T=Low Power Desktop, S=Low Power with Graphics, H=High Performance mobile, U=Standard Mobile, M=Low power Mobile.
